At the beginning of the pandemic, educators rapidly pivoted their instructional approaches during the emergency shift to online teaching. While things have largely returned to normal, valuable lessons were learned related to content accessibility which continue to benefit our students. Freely available content not only improves accessibility for students in a class, but also for individuals globally who lack access to well-resourced institutional libraries and the most up-to-date content. In the 2023-24 academic year, a series of lecture videos for Veterinary Bacteriology and Mycology (a 3-credit, 2nd year DVM course) were published to YouTube and pdf copies of the course notes were uploaded to HARVEST, the University of Saskatchewan’s institutional repository. The following video is the last in the YouTube playlist of the course lectures, and contains a link to the course notes in the video description.
